"Subject to any appeals and protests, the British Junior Rally Championship, other BRC class categories and awards, the BRC Citroën C2R2 Cup and Suzuki Swift Sport Cup Championship points tables are due to be declared final on Monday 15 December 2008."

The organisers also confirmed, however, that there were no plans to delay the championship prize-giving ceremony in light of the latest twist.

"Irrespective of the Motor Sports Association inquiry and judicial procedure, the British Rally Championship will hold its awards for all other classes, awards and the Citroën and Suzuki Cup Series on Saturday 10 January 2008 at the St John's Hotel in Solihull," it concluded.
