Fernando Alonso has again insisted that he he has no intention of leaving Ferrari - for Mclaren or anyone else - following Kimi Raikkonen's arrival.

Maybe Ferrari's "imperfection" during Fernando's age (as of yet) might still act in his favour, as to be seen as one of the greatest F1 drivers ever.
Maybe much more than what a best (fastest) car could have done for him eventually.

What I have really meant was this: whatever more other titles Vettel might win eventually, he might not be seen as great as Alonso (let alone greater) because he will not be able to get rid of the It is the car collocation.
Even if he might win titles with another team. It's exactly the case of Schumacher.

"The least prestigious drivers championship won in modern F1 was the 2008 one."

I definitely found it difficult to explain - with a straight face - to people how exactly a professional could drive into the back of another car parked in the pitlane, & still justify the title of 'best driver in the world'.

Seriously guys? True enough Lewis didn't have a strong teammate to contend with that year in Kovalainen but he still had to see off the strong Ferrari with Massa and Raikkonen (the latter started the year well but then inexplicably switched off towards the end). Yes he still made some silly mistakes but he deserves to have a title.

IMO least prestigious titles are the ones that are achieved with a vastly superior car coupled with a 1st driver status or mediocre teammate: Vettel in 2011, Button in 2009, Shuey in 2004 and 2002, Prost 1993, Mansell 1992...etc. All those were handed on a silver plate.

Fullofit, there's only one explanation, the little bejewelled fellow is colour blind and because of that affliction he failed to recognise the big red light and the big red car!

If he ever goes on safari all the lions have to do is paint themselves red and he's an easy lunch! :p
