Andrew Hockridge will team up with fellow Pwllheli resident Darren Garrod to tackle the Ravens Rock Rally in Southern Ireland this weekend on board his Signature Cheese-backed Citroen C2R2 Max.
Hockridge is normally partnered in the MSA British Rally Championship by Rich Mills but with Mills away in Germany on business, he will team up with the experienced Garrod for what will be their second event together.
Garrod has been a regular co-driver in the British Championship for a number of years and Hockridge will be calling on his guidance as the Welshman, who finished second in the 2008 C2R2cup, aims to improve his pace-notes ahead of the next round of this fiercely competitive series.
“Darren and I get on really well and when Rich told me that he was away in Germany this weekend Darren was my first choice,” Hockridge explained.
“It's only a one off and the main objective for me is to work on my notes and to get some more tarmac mileage in the car.”
The Ravens Rock Rally is based in Carrick-on-Suir and the first car departs at 08:45 on Sunday morning.
