Pendragon Rally expanded.

Always one of the most popular one-day rallies on the calendar, the Stobart Rail Pendragon Rally on August 30, will have even more competitive miles this year, organisers have announced.

The event has been extended after an extra ten miles were found on the exciting Warcop army range. This brings the total stage miles to 80 out of 195 total rally miles.

Moreover, to please sponsors, crews and fans, the rally has teamed up with the local and go-ahead Eden District Council and turned it into the 'Pendragon Weekend' with other 'exciting and allied events' plus entertainment being planned.

Tim Foster, who leads the organising committee made up of Kirkby Lonsdale Motor Club, Eden Valley Motor Club and Northallerton Automobile Club, said: "With superb value for money at £275 per entry, which includes road books, numbers and service info, plus the marvellous enthusiasm of the local Eden Council and continued support of our sponsors, the 2009 Stobart Rail Pendragon is set to be a classic for which we expect not only a full entry but great benefit for the economy of the area."

The Stobart Rail Pendragon Rally is a qualifying round of a number of championships - namely the Beaston's Building Supplies Borders Stage Rally Championship, Hytorc Scottish Tarmack Rally Championship, Tyresport North of England Rally Championship, SG Petch ANECC Stage Rally Championship, PEC Tyres ANWCC Rally Championship, Fostek ANCC Northern Stage Rally Championship and the GPM KLMC Stage rally Championship.
