All eight rounds of the Dunlop/Wonago.com MSA British Historic Rally Championship will be televised in 2010, with dedicated hour-long programmes on Motors TV following each round.
With the support of 'My Life Story', this year's BHRC will benefit from unrivalled TV coverage as well as DVDs of each round, an end of season compilation DVD and brief post-event web reports.
In 2009, only the five one-day gravel rallies were broadcast, but this year fans of historic rallying will also be able to see all the asphalt action from the Isle of Man, Ulster and Flanders.
The new deal for the championship has been arranged by Acceleration Television and Video, the company headed by David Winstanley. His team will exclusively film all eight rallies and produce television programmes as well as DVDs, which will be available through www.rallytv.co.uk.
Backing for the TV package is being provided by 'My Life Story', a new business venture from Acceleration Television offering any individual the chance to have a DVD made of their life story, with prices starting from around £800.
"I've been a big fan of the BHRC for some time," Winstanley said. "The cars and the characters in the championship make for excellent television and we plan to bring the full story of the championship season to the TV."
Championship manager Simon Marks welcomed the new arrangement.
"David put forward an innovative solution that has allowed the management committee of the Dunlop/Wonago.com MSA British Historic Rally Championship to appoint Acceleration Television to provide TV coverage and DVD sell-through for 2010," he said.
More details about broadcast schedules will be published in due course.
