Neville Jones heads to Wales this weekend for the Plains Rally, the penultimate round of two different championships, fighting for top ten championship positions, and after mixed runs on the Plains Rally in the past he is really looking for a good run.
The Stone based businessman, who is co-driven by Ian Capewell in the Vulcan Fasteners supported Subaru Impreza N12, is contesting both the Pine Lodge Maps MSA Welsh National Championship and the BTRDA Rally Series.
Jones currently lies seventh in Group N in the BTRDA series, which features rounds throughout the UK, and sits in tenth position overall in the Welsh National Championship.
Last time out, on the Woodpecker Stages, the pair enjoyed a drama free rally in their newly liveried Subaru, gradually increasing their pace throughout the day to return to the finish just outside the top ten in class on a rally dominated by local experts.
"I am really looking forward to this weekend," said Jones. "The stages that run through Pantperthog and Dyfi are amongst the best in the UK. Ian and I will be looking for a good clean run on Saturday."
The Plains Rally begins in Welshpool at 8:30am on Saturday September 20. Seven forest stages then follow, including runs through the likes of Pantperthog and Dyfi before the cars return to Welshpool for one final spectator stage, run through the ground of Mick Jones Timbers. The first car is expected back at the finish at around 5pm [all times local].
