Cole targets title #2.

Welsh National Rally champion, Damian Cole, will be gunning for a second title as the BTRDA Gold Star Rally Championship goes down to the wire at the Cambrian Rally this weekend.

Driving the Get Connected Hyundai Accent WRC, Hereford's Cole enters the final event in a strong second position behind leader Will Nicholls in the Subaru Impreza WRC, with Hugh Hunter's Ford Focus WRC in third place.

Just three points separate the top three promising a compelling end to the season, yet Cole and co-driver Ian Allsop know that anything less than a win is not good enough.

"A win is essential on Saturday and any mistakes will cost me the Championship," he conceded.

"There is pressure to perform when you are this close to winning, but as soon as the first stage is underway the adrenalin will overtake the nerves and I plan to end the season on a high."
