Brave of him to soldier on for 2 years???
The only reason he stayed at Ducati is because of 2 reasons..
1. He couldnt get out of the contract.
2. Honda and Yamaha didnt want to give him a bike.
It was not until the pen pushers/bean counters at Yamaha forced the race team to take him..The race team didnt want or think they need VR.
In the end Yamaha got him for free, Monster had to stump up the money to pay his wages.
NH said that Ducati did everything VR asked of them. (it might of taken longer than at the other factory teams, but he got what he asked for)
The last GP of the year VR was out qualified by a CRT bike.. Yeah real brave.
I would of had more respect for him if he sat out the year and driven the pace/medical car around.
