endless hours of grid talks,tv interviews on the grid, and formations, and the racing gets cut back, they need the cookstown or armoy organisers to run the nw 200 now,far better at running races, sure the event needs press/tv, but those interviews could be done off the grid/startline before racing for less hold ups.meanwhile spectators standing round the track are bored stupid, and end up goin to the pub.the tt guys interview riders just as much, but racing gets underway without the holdups,nw 200 club treat the fans like sh..e

I always thought that the Ulster Grand Prix was ten times the event, but I thought that this year it was going the same way,(All these bloody hold ups).
The NW200 is all about (one day wonder) fans and the TV.
PLUS getting ripped off at every angle

@ Nick 636, spot on with that. Our wee man William is spot on with his comment. No one turns up on a Thursday as this year prove that, only the beer monsters turn up. Going to the NW200 is like going to a music festival it's goes on for far too long.

Nick636, you are not specific on your reference.
What you at most likely revering to is the put-down from guy martin regarding Michael dunlop's victory of the final Superbikes race on ugp race day. Less prize money, but the same class race on the same day. So, rather than be graceful and win one, second in the next, guy was as classless as ever. And deservedly got shot down for it. It was a line born of the TAS motor-mouth dynasty. Real fans were pleased for guy to win the race with Michael pushing a bit too hard and falling, but for a second good race and Michael to win the second.
This has been raised before and fans know how they feel. Nothing to do with this subject, but I had to remind the dullards.

@wildrsv: To say no-one apart from "beer monsters" turn up on a Thursday is rubbish. Me and my mates have always gone up on our bikes on both Tuesday and Thursday nights and use those nights to walk around the paddock soaking up the atmosphere (not beer). For me you have a higher percentage of real race fans turning up on these nights than on race day itself.
