Jessopp confirms North West 200 return
Up and coming road racing hot-shot Martin Jessopp has confirmed his return to the Relentless International North West 200 in Northern Ireland next month.

Jessopp, who is competing in the World Supersport Championship this year on the Riders PTR Honda, will ride Ducati machinery in the Superbike and Superstock races.

Last year, he qualified in second place behind his then team-mate Michael Rutter for the premier Superbike class.

Jessopp continued on an upward spiral at the Macau Grand Prix in November, where he finished as the runner-up – again to that man Rutter, who is chasing his 13th victory at the North West on the MSS Bathams Kawasaki machines.

Jessopp (26), based in Somerset, said: “I've enjoyed the North West 200 experience each year I've been but, of course, have my sights set on a trophy. I was really pleased with my qualifying time last year and am hoping to top that this year,” he said.

“It's a challenging course but that's why it's one of the favourites so I'm looking forward to returning on a great bike.”

The race week festival gets under way on Monday, May 14 with daytime practice on the Tuesday and Thursday plus the new Vauxhall Supertwin race and the Livewire AV Superstock race following practice on the Thursday evening.

On Saturday, May 19, the schedule includes two Superbike and Supersport races and the second leg of the Superstock class.

I for one am delighted to see Martain Jessopp back this year, both Rutter and Jessopp fighting over pole was great to watch.The lads a great rider and i wish him all the best this year pitty he cant ride the Ulster GP..
