Wayne Gardner, the 1987 500cc Grand Prix World Champion, has demanded the Isle of Man TT is banned 'now' following two deaths at the 2010 event.

What has got him all excited? Nobody is forced to race at the IOM, all the riders go these because of the challenge and yes the risk. I am a huge fan of motogp but road racers are the real heros.....long live the TT

Problem is Wayne you are too short sighted to see once you start letting the Gov dictate what is "Safe".
All activities come under scrutiny including your beloved GPs

Yeah the TT is dangerous,as is road racing in general.One mistake,one mechanical failure and it could well be game over but those guys know that and are prepared to take that risk.I have utmost respect for the guys who race there and for those who went and never came back but like I said it was always their choice.Don't really see why the event should be banned because some ex-GP rider doesn't agree with it.

229 riders killed at the TT each doing a sport they loved and each with more talent and courage than the one time world champ could ever dream of. Idiot.
