Although the commentary team did a pretty good job of coping with the need to fill hours of air time in very frustrating circumstances, the BBC could have shown a repeat of coverage from previous years while waiting for a decision from race control, or even shown the Supersport race again. At least there was no Charlie Cox to say, "That's shot the fox.", when the race was finally called off.

I agree with MM on the Charlie Cox point (who doesn't)
The guy alongside Steve showed some genuine excitement at moments of action and added something to the coverage, and I enjoyed listening to him. He also appeared to have knowledge about the riders and know how to prounounce riders names correctly, which is more than can be said for Steve and Charlie (Elias anyone?)

Just got home, what a bloody nightmare,if it could go wrong it went wrong.
At least I,m home I feel sorry for those who came from England and further afield just to endure that mess.
Whats the bets there will be no refund offered for the £25.00 per seat grandstand.

Its a shame the race didnt go ahead but rider safety has to be the most important thing. These guys have every right to say when they feel it is too dangerous. Its a shame for all the fans that turned out to watch but I'm sure they would rather this than watch any of their heroes get injured.

splodge - riders have too much say??? lrc - organisers got what they deserved???
intelligent comment???
would splodge splash along at close to 200mph in those conditions? is his neck at risk? i doubt it.
lrc - wise up! nobody got what they deserved. we got a very helpful republican bomb threat on a day when a real device was planted a few miles away. we also got a very unfortunate mechanical fault that dumped oil on the circuit. why not blame God for the rain while you're at it.
