What about a race for the 2-strokes Mervyn, why dont you listen to the fans for once & give us what most are asking for? Lets face it fans will vote with their feet & your tenure as "MR.NW200" has seen spectator numbers absolutely plummet!! Is it still the biggest sporting event in Ireland, eh??? Of course the continued absence of the 2-strokes is not the only factor, the extortionate combined costs of parking, paddock entrance, viewing points, seats, programme etc, which incidentally would make the board at Harrods blush, are not helping. Do you remember when the paddock was so packed with spectators getting your bike & gear to the dummy grid was a nightmare, now its deserted, like a ghost-town as one paddock trader described it? Maybe you can explain the thinking behind scrapping the 125 race because of 'low entry numbers' when I can name at least 4 riders/teams who were refused entry without assigning a reason? If all of the above isnt bad enough theres still your total inability to mak

I Totally agree with Clark, 2 strokes have to be reintroduced to the NW200. All road racing fans have missed the sights, sounds and especially the smells a 2 stroke machine gives us. We have loads of 2 strokes in this country, with great riders onboard. We, the fans, demand that they should return to our 'International' meetings. More sponsorship should also be sought instead of passing the costs on to the fan, where would this event be without the loyal,hard-working,road race fan.....NW(no where)!

The nw200 has become a sham and a money making racket for all invovled, prices are crazy to sit in a cold wet grand stand all day to see one race, holdin bikes on the grid for an hr to do media ****e, its a joke and dont care about the smaller teams my friend had to give up his position in the 1st group last year to accomadate one of the so called big names, joke or wat hope it pisses down on top of them again

ah clark wind your neck in and stop spoutin rubbish, fans dont want to see another below standard 2 stroke race with some guy on a trick ex spanish/gp 250 bike about half a lap in front of a bunch of no hopers that appens to have a stroker sittin about in their shed. i have seen all the class 2 stroke races at the NW200,full grids ,500cc,250s etc and the sights and smells were fantastic, thats over now,the nw is a big event, and needs good quality fields in the races, not some bunch of dreamers, and has beens, with maybe 1 or 2 quick guys in the field,go classic racing or something, the 4 strokes are here to stay at the NW200,tt and everywhere else, get over it.RUN CLASSIC MEETS LIKE THE OTHER DELUDED WOULD BE RACERS,

Lol,The NW is a big event?? Was the biggest event - not anymore! 5 races that all look, sound & smell the same & youll pay through the nose for the privilege. The numbers speak for themselves! Im only saying a bit of variety would be welcome,oh thats right,we have the 'supertwins' to look forward to,woooppeeeee now that should bring in a 'good quality field' as you put it lol lol. Now f**k off back to Mervyn Whytes cave & take Hector 'I cant keep my hateful oul bake of the telly' Neill with you.

In years gone by the 125 and 250 races where really good at the NW200 and the other international road races but they just dont attract enough guys on competitive bikes anymore and so you end up with really bad racing. I perosnally think the supertwins will be the same as there are only a couple of guys who have good bikes while the rest are on the standard bikes i think it will make for boring racing but it is a fairly new class and will hopefully grow and get better.

I dont have a problem with the price the NW charge for grandstands etc as if you go to any short circuit event either ISB BSB WSBK or MOTOGP you will be charged an entry fee and then if you want a grandstand seat you will pay more and the same goes for a programme and paddock pass. Imagine having to pay for a days entertainment! and now you will get 2 days of racing. You also have the option of picking a spot along the track you want to watch from and not paying anything.

The only way to support the event and keep it g

Can't say I'm too bothered either way. The NW200 will never be the event that the UGP is. Save your time and money folks until August and go to a classy, superbly organised, real road race!

They should move further in to the summer, around July IMO. Every year the races get affected by bad weather, I bet you next year's event will be no different. Rememeber and take your wetsout if you're going along!
