Mervyn Whyte and his band of yes men have destroyed this meeting. Real road racers are not wanted here. Privateers are not wanted here. Genuine fans are not wanted here because as Mervyn stated in the press last year, most fans "turn up, buy a burger and go home"!! A slap in the face to those genuine road race fans who travel from far and wide to watch this farce of a meeting. Two strokes engineered off the card at the behest of the so called "big" teams. Eighteen riders refused entry for the last 125 race despite Mervyn telling the world there was no interest. As a road race fan I would urge everyone to give this meeting a wide berth and instead come to the UGP unless of course prawn sandwiches in corporate hospitality suites at vastly over inflated prices is your thing!!!

When its good its very good at the north west but when it goes tits up it really goes tits up. Still would rather go to this than the UGP and pay 25 quid its amazing racing don't get me wrong but the price is just ay to high. The two strokes are being taken off on the world stage manufacters aren't producing them anymore only reason im sad to see them go was that was my time to get something to eat. Without the big teams there wouldn't be any money put into the sport without money no safety without out that no racing simples.

Two of the biggest and fastest road races in the world is held in Northern Ireland, i think we are very lucky cause we only pay for the UGP.Wish people would stop whinging and support the meetings they could be bigger and better.Tight ass buggers are no good to this sport, stay at home if you dont WANT to pay.

i wont be back, been going since the 70s,fk mervan i will eat my burger at home this year, and a good few like me,they actually cordon off areas now ,not for safety, but to force you into buying grandstand seats,i dont like sitting on my backside in one place all day,i like to move around,it aint the money,so treat the real race fans like fools, and sheep and they will stay away, mervan and crew, have fecked up the biggest one day event in britain,no more counting upto 150,000 race fans now,it took some odd thinking to get a great event down to this poor level,

I have to agree with the last comment posted. The north West 200 last year was a wash out. We cannot blame Mervyn for an act of god or the ****head who called in a hoax bomb call and cleared the pits as a race was about to start.A two day race programme will not go down to well with Road Racing fans. They seem to forget some of us need to work on a Thursday! The crowds will not be as good this year.I always enjoyed the big Saturday race day .
