Crash does like to hype stuff up - Hutchy was scheduled to appear in the Revolution show which is part of the bike show in London along with other star riders Lampkin, Hodgson, McGuiness, Walker and Knight - he would not have been doing stunts - those are done by freestyle motocross stuntriders. This was a freak accident - I wish him all the best. The guy was just trying to earn a living and entertain the public and his fans.

Too much too soon if you ask me! Riders suffer such horrifice injuries, but seem to think they are super human and can return to riding bikes when their injuries have no where near healed!! Broken bones take at least 6 weeks to get any better. Ligament damage can take longer. To have nearly had your leg amputated due to the severity of injuries sustained means a shedload of problems to endure. Hutchy was back on a bike with a metal cage surrounding his leg as protection, but he still had to use it, put his muscles, tendons etc. through all sorts just to ride. This leg is always going to be seriously weak and to me, he should be no-where near a motorbike for one very, very long time!! Think of others if not yourself!!

I am not going to question his decision to do waht he was doing, anyone who has ever competed doing anything at a reasonable level will know that to do well you have to take risks and everyone takes chances to get to where they want to be. Riders crashing MotoX bikes, Drivers taking part in Rally events. Doesn't even have to be motorsport... look at Paula Radcliffe trying to race a marathon with a stress fracture. He is trying to do what he loves doing and is good at. Was it worth the risk? Maybe he doesn't think so now... was it before hand? yes otherwise he wouldn't have been there! Best of luck for a quick recovery.

Hutchy, Sad to hear about the injury. It must be hard. But time is a healer! your leg will just take time to mend. Your a legend, no mistake! Is it maybe the big man sending you a message! (is it time to put the leathers away!) Don't get me wrong, it would be great to see you ride again. But I am sure others are thinking the same! Get well soon.
