As the great Mr Sheene said W Anchor with an eye problem... I would have done this I would have done that. Niall found him out at Donnington when he done him on a private yam vs the works Cagiva.

Well, I guess one second place in the 1988 250 race is enough for "King Carl' to prove that was a great year for him at the Northwest 200 - on the day when his 'teammate' Joey won three races in the same day. Is anyone else tired of this guy trying to prove that he was better or as good as the real road riders of that era? Get off their coat-tails dude..

If foggy spent less time at the pub and more time in the gym (if he knew what a gym looked like)he would of won more superbike titles and maybe even a 500cc world champion also.

I prefer not to remember Fogarty by what he said - it just wasn't worth listening to usually, and probably still isn't. But I well remember a WSBK race at (I think it was ) Hockenheim where he came around the outside on the last corner and won - it was a gutsy effort right on the ragged edge, and worthy of respect.

He earned the genuinely Great Mr Sheene's ire for his (either) poorly thought through or deluded comparison of his own abilities and status compared to Doohan...Bazza quite rightly put him back in his box. I recall Biaggi having the same delusion, but never beat Doohan on a 500...not even once.

Anyway, Carl on a 916 - it was something to watch.

@ dude 163 I think you will find Doohan retired with bike trouble while down in about 10th place in Biaggi's 500cc debut race, so in fact Biaggi never did beat Doohan 1 on 1 however Biaggi certainly beat alot of other riders that beat Doohan, i.e Crafar, Roberts jnr, Abe, Okada, Checa.
