'I came last year with more enthusiasm to try and win the Senior but I think with the knocks and bangs we've had it's knocked me back a bit' - Hector Neill

Or perhaps it's simpler than that. Hector has said you have a contract to ride and if you don't, you can speak to our scolicitor.

Be no loss either way really.

He,s not wired right.

no road racer crashes as much as Guy, which shows how hard he pushes. He seems to land quite well, but it's not the way his competitors go about it. Respect for his courage, but I'm worried about that.

"Until I speak to him and Conor" - Neill.

Surely he should be speaking to them before the press? Or is it just a turn of phrase? A team needs to know what it's doing and that everyone's on board, especially at this time of year! The rider needs to have nothing else on his/her mind at the TT.

Ringo reeves I dont think Hector would want a rider who doesnt want to ride for him there. He could have got another rider for the tt between the nw200 and now think its just a bit of gossip thats got out of hand

I was at the NW200 all week and after Guy's crash I asked Hector how he was. He said Guy had had a nasty bang on the head so he had pulled him out of the rest of the races. It was the right decision. Earlier I had spoken to Guy, but he was more interested in talkng about mountain biking. Guy is fast, he is controversial, and although a bit uncommunicative with the public he rewards his team's sponsors by attracting a lot of attention. My lasting image is Hector walking to his hospitality tent followed by Josh Brookes carrying a case of drinks. It was clear who was boss. And it was clear that Brookes was desperate to please his way into a ride.
