RR » TT2012: Joey's record within reach, says McGuinness

'Joey was 48 when he was winning and I've got eight years left in me to win seven, so it's possible. It's not out of the question, but it's not something I'm going for – if it happens it will be a fantastic bonus' - John McGuinness

As much as I like mcpint, I hope he doesn't take yer man's record! He was the best Posted by Mac.
I'm a great Joey fan and I enjoyed a couple of drinks in Joey's bar while at the NW200, but if McG wins more TTs, then he takes over as the best ever on the IoM. I don't think we have yet seen just how fast McG can lap the island, but Joey's charity work will always mark him as something special.

I remember when Mike Hailwood broke Stanley Woods record of 12 TT wins and then for Joey Dunlop to break his record of 14 TT wins, so good luck to John McGuinness on trying to beat 26 wins. Records are meant to be broken
