I wish you all the best Ian but seriously mate is it really worth it with the injuries you have had and still suffering with I hate to say it but call it a day whilst you still can and enjoy life don't put yourself through anymore pain or misery like Ryan everyone would respect you if you decided to call it a day.....

Right ITV4! Kick Steve Parrish into touch and get hutchy on your commentary team next year. His impromptu work at the NW200 last year was excellent. We'd all love to see him race, but this would be a good low for Ian and the fans.

Mickey Dunlop would do the yamaha justice on the roads, maybe time to talk to him. Hutchy has my utmost respect, great rider even when not fit but health comes first.

Wow thats dreadful news for Hutchy.Even if he does.recover enough to race again,is it really worth the risk. That leg is so badly dameged that he could never afford another injury to it.Its a great shame but things are abviously very bad with that leg.

I was afraid this would happen. I respect Ian's spirit, and he accomplishments will be legend. But I really hope he doesn't do permanent injury to himself.

To those urging him to pack it in, please bear in mind that Hutchy loves racing and it's what he wants to do. Like most road racers nobody is forcing him to ride, he does it purely for the love of it. Something that you can't say of many of the top pros on the short circuits.
