Josh is nobodys fool, he was on the Island last year for a look at the event and who better than Conrod to pass on some of that local knowledge?

Everyone slammed Karl Harris last year and he ended up lapping at 122mph which is not shabby at all.

I reckon Josh will go well at the TT.

What a bunch of negative ****s you lot are!

Why not race the TT?! It should be on every racers to do list. Certainly didn't do foggy, Jim Whitham,Hislop or Rutters career any harm and all are considered 'circuit' riders.

Good on Josh Brookes, excellent move for him and the TT. I'm sure he's all to aware of the risks involved and the mental approach he'll need and he's with the right team to keep him in check. The last person that wants Josh Brookes will be Josh Brookes.

The ulster is on after the TT but I can see him having a shake down at the north west.

Fair play to josh he said he was going to do it and is following through with it. Hope he does well and enjoys its it he couldnt have a better team to help him get set up and learn the circuit. I also hope he does the North west would be a great test for him and also let the NI fans see him ride.

Nothing stupid or rash about it. I'm sure he's thought about it long and hard and knows exactly what he's getting himself into.

As for the TT being banned, I really couldn't disagree more, events like the TT should be taking place more often in my eyes, if people want to do something dangerous and are fully aware of the risks and its in a controlled environment why should anyone try to stop them? The whole world gone a bit soft and safety mad.

Lets ban horse riding and mountain climbing too then wrap ourselves in bubble wrap and never leave the house!

"Has he ever done a road race before? Thats like going from tea boy to ceo of a multinational in one leap. Good luck, take it easy a top 20, 30, on your first go is no shame. Posted by gixxer"
Everybody has a first time for everything - even McPint.
I talked to Josh at this years NW200, and he was champing at the bit to start road racing. He knows the risks and he knows how important circuit knowledge is. He'll need to follow some fast men to see what is possible and what is foolish, although I don't think his team-mate Guy Martin would be a good teacher - too damn oddball.
I'd expect top ten for Josh, but no podiums this year.

spoke to him at 2010 TT and he said he wanted to do north west and TT and i asked him when he said ask the boss cos i would do it tomorrow.
pleased to say i am booked for TT next year cant wait!!!
FAR too much health and safety nowdays, if he wants to do TT that is HIS choice. All the riders no the risk before setting of down Bray Hill and know somebody who has paid the ulitimate price for racing on the roads.
It is there choice and there lives
