Great rider, and seems like a really nice guy as well. Always safe and damn fast too. I'm sorry to see Archie go, but it's also nice to see someone walk away healthy and happy with what they've acheived.

He's a 3 times Isle of Man TT winner. Maybe you have achieved far more than that in life, but to most of us mere mortals, that makes him a legend.

Scratch was one of the biggest stars of all out real roadracing competitors for many years, providing superb entertainment for us fans.
As been said, I'm really happy to see him retire in good shape and wish the best of fortune for whatever lies ahead.

One of my favourite riders, a quiet bloke who just got on with the job at hand, I'll always remember his Formula One TT win just days after teammate DJ was killed.
