For me DJ is still the lap record holder. He was doing 127mph laps before they straightened Windy corner & in particular Brandish corner, which back then was an 70/80mph corner - it's now flat out in 5th or something like that & the whole place is a lot smoother tarmac! Still miss the Big man showing them how it was done.

without a doubt he is getting faster every year but cant see him challenging mcGuiness, donald, anstey, michael dunlop or guy martin this year. Might do very well in supertwins without farqhar this year

I agree with all the comments on here, and good luck to James.

DJ was a star, no doubt about it, but the lap that stands out for me was Fogarty's in 1992 - 123.6mph on a 750. 7 years until that record was broken, pretty impressive.

Agree with Mark, Foggys lap back then was astounding, especially as the bike was falling to bits.

Anyway I've been impressed with James for the last 2 years, hopefully he keeps getting faster.
