You speak of the past. The only true great riders took part when it was part of the championship. The more contempory riders you reference that have won proper races did so at the start or end of their career, either before their careers took off or in decline, only proving the point I made.

Not surprised that only a few actually extracted what I meant and gave a balanced response. If you are of the opinion that these guys are the best, then great, but none of the current guys have proved themselves against the best. Hopefully the lack of practice won't hamper Brookes too much and he will show what a proper, professional, rider can do and attract more quality to the field.
