Mickey D used to frighten me. I thought "too fast, too soon" . But he's getting results and getting faster. It's difficult to imagine who might have the package to beat him now.
I don't think it will be Guy Martin, He's had his opportunities but hasn't made his breakthrough.

@ Tetley

You may be right, but I hope not. MAYBE it's a case of not finding the right team for Guy? Look what the switch to Legends did for Mickey! And what a dominant show he is putting on!

The hondas are the best for the road, it smashes every other bike in terms of road performance even from the factory, so not surprising they keep winning over and over. Time for Guy to hop back on one if he ever wants to win...

A 131mph average on a superstock machine is incredible, I thought Hutchinsons lap record from 2010 would take something special to beat it as that was one of the greatest laps I've ever seen around the Isle of Man. Michael is clearly a special talent, matured a lot and his fitness have improved and is reaping the rewards for it.

I hail all the road riders as heros but no disrespect to Guy he's not in the same league as Mickey D. Look at the Cookstown result, Mickey D beat him on his own private bike on a circuit Guy held the lap record on and on a works backed suzi. John McPint said it- never seen the like of him!!

@Nick636

But Michael won 3 TT's on what was bascially privateer bikes (although very good privateer bikes) before he made the switch to the Legends.
