This type of racer is still very experimental and McGuinness shouldn't feel too bad as the MotoCzysz is certainly a better machine than the Mugen. I'd imagine the race wasn't won in the corners. Anyway it's a fascinating class and the teams are making brilliant developments and bringing the lap times down. Being from Ohio I was very pleased to see Barber on the podium with the Ohio State bike!

This race deserves much greater exposure than the motorcycle press alone. As surely as the TT was instrumental in the development of the internal combustion engine, it's now at the forefront of 'zero' emmissions advances. The rate of progress since its inception has been phenomenal. Credit to the engineers, teams, sponsors and riders.
