Ryan Farquhar extends his leads in the 2010 Duke Road Race Rankings

Ryan Farquhar is on course to claim an incredible fifth victory in the Duke Road Race Rankings series after extending his lead yet again.
Dungannon's Ryan Farquhar took five wins at Saturday's Mid Antrim 150 to further build his already massive 2010 Duke Road Race Rankings lead.

He remains the hot favourite to retain the title he has won for the past two years; an achievement which it is believed will see him keep the prestigious Geoff Duke Trophy. He was also the winner in 2003 and 2004.

After 15 rounds, the KMR Kawasaki racer has 2,952 points, a huge advantage over nearest rival William Dunlop, who is on 1,369.

The battle for second place is much tighter, with Michael Dunlop only just behind his brother with 1,027 points and Ian Hutchinson, who won all five solo races at the 2010 Isle of Man TT and is expected to be seen at the upcoming Ulster Grand Prix, only slightly further behind with 809 points.

Although Farquhar has a commanding lead, there are still nine rounds to go - including this weekend's Armoy road races – before the 2010 season comes to close on the streets of Macau, included as a Duke Road Race Rankings round for the first time this year.

Manxman Chris Palmer rounds out the top five, with 751 points, John Burrows one of the few in the top to see his position improve since round 14 – he is up two places, displacing Michael Pearson and Keith Amor to seventh and eighth respectively.

Barry Davidson has been on of the big winners, moving up nine places to enter the top 10 in ninth, with 507 points.

Dean Harrison, son of TT Sidecar podium placer Conrad Harrison, took the laurel wreaths in both the Junior and Senior Newcomers' Races at Mid Antrim, moving up
17 places in the rankings to 19th, while Paul Robinson, 125cc winner at the North West 200, continued his success on the 'roads' by winning the Mid Antrim Ultra-Lightweight race and moving up three places to 21st.
