Seeley returns to North West 200

Alastair Seeley will seek to defend his North West 200 crown in 2011, it has been announced.
British Superbike race winner Alastair Seeley has become the first rider to confirm his entry into the 2011 North West 200 road race.

The Ulsterman will return to defend his crown this year after picking up the overall North West 200 and Supersport titles in 2010 for the Relentless Suzuki team.

With a switch to the British Supersport Championship class looming, Seeley will join forces with Relentless by TAS Suzuki once more to race in all five NW200 classes

“The North West 200 is the only road race in which Alastair competes and I have watched him develop and mature over the last few years into one of Ireland's top road racers,” said race technical director Mervyn Whyte MBE.

“He has demonstrated he can compete at all levels finishing the season with an excellent position in the BSB Superbike Championship in 2010. This is on top of his major wins at the North West.”

A former National Superstock 1000 champion, Seeley won one race on the way to sixth overall in his maiden British Superbike Championship campaign in 2010.

Dave.. Read it properly.. He won 2010 NW200 Superbike and Supersport titles is what it says.. By the way he didn't win the National Superstock 1000 title in 2010, he won it in 2009.. But you are correct that he won it by a considerable margin..
