Italy's Alex Baldolini has completed the Power Team by Suriano's line-up for the 2012 World Supersport Championship.
Baldolini will ride a Triumph Daytona 675 alongside Vittorio Iannuzzo.
The 27-year-old Italian brings plenty of experience to the team having raced previously in the 125cc World Championship in 2002, before competing in the 250cc Grand Prix class for seven years prior to his switch to Moto2 in 2010.
“My aim is to give a boost to my career and hit big goals riding in Supersport," Baldolini said.
"Of course I shall need time to get used to this new class, where compared to Moto2 there's much more room for electronics and more powerful engines, not to mention the production chassis.
“I'd like to thank the whole team for giving me the chance of a lifetime.”
The team's technical director, Antonio Suriano, said he expects Baldolini to develop into a major player in the championship.
“I'm really happy having the chance to line up an experienced and talented rider such as Alex. I personally think he still have room for improvement and I'm sure after some time of adjustment he's going to be a protagonist.
“On our side, we'll do our best to provide him everything he needs to fight for the first places. It's not going to be easy but we are ready for the challenge.”
Baldolini's confirmation makes him only the second rider on the grid to ride the three-cylinder Triumph, but brings the number of full-time riders competing to 33.
