Seeley fastest in Superstock times

Alastair Seeley retains pole position for Superstock races at Noth West 200 after rain slows times during final qualifying session
Alastair Seeley held on to pole position for the Superstock class at the North West 200 after rain prevented any faster times in today's final qualifying session.

The MSS Kawasaki rider's lap from Tuesday at 118.046mph is the stand-out lap in the class at he 8.9-mile circuit, with Michael Dunlop starting from second position on his Honda Fireblade, 1.886s down on Seeley.

HM Plant/Padgett's Honda pair John McGuinness and Bruce Anstey are third and fourth respectively, followed by Gary Johnson (Kawasaki) and Michael Rutter on the Bathams Honda.

Wilson Craig Racing's Cameron Donald is seventh, 4.562s down on the leader, with Dean Harrison from Bradford rounding out the top eight on his RC Express/MSS Kawasaki ZX-10R.

A number of leading riders who failed to qualify on Tuesday took the opportunity to complete the required five laps to secure a grid position today, including Milwaukee Yamaha pair William Dunlop and Conor Cummins plus Guy Martin on the Tyco Suzuki GSX-R1000.

However, with poor weather conditions prevailing today the trio will start down the grid on the fifth and sixth rows after missing the chance for a fast time in better conditions on Tuesday.

Martin's team-mate, Josh Brookes, is 21st based on his time from Tuesday.

Michael Dunlop was quickest in the wet session at 107.995mph.

The first of two Superstock races takes place tonight.
