TT2014: Cummins 'chuffed' with runner-up finish

Honda's Conor Cummins was all smiles after a strong ride to second place on the blue riband Senior race at the Isle of Man TT
Manx rider Conor Cummins says he was 'chuffed' after the Honda Racing representative took a fine runner-up finish in the prestigious Senior TT.

Cummins crossed the line 14 seconds behind Michael Dunlop after an enthralling finale to the annual festival and the Ramsey man was overjoyed with his performance on the CBR1000RR Fireblade.

“I'm chuffed with that. I knew it was going to be a fast pace so I thought I'd better pull my finger out from the start. I just chipped away and worked really hard for the full six laps,” said Cummins.

“The bike was perfect and the pit stops were absolutely mega – I can't fault the team. They have worked so hard for the whole two weeks and I want to thank them for that.

“It was a great race, I really enjoyed it and I'm just so happy to be back riding my bike at the front. Long may it continue.”
