John McGuinness proved once more than he remains the king of the Superbike class at the Isle of Man TT.
The Morecambe star turned 40 last May, but boosted his tally of victories on the Mountain Course to 19 with a double in the Superbike TT and Superstock races.
McGuinness was also a winner in the Superbike division at the North West 200 on the Honda TT Legends Fireblade as he shows no signs of slowing down.
Michael Dunlop has joined the Honda TT Legends team in 2013 alongside McGuinness and Michael Rutter and the talented Ulsterman is widely tipped as the successor to his English rival's throne.
Dunlop earned his third TT victory in the second Supersport race last June and finished as the runner-up to McGuinness in the Superstock event. He won five races from five at the Southern 100 and notched an Ulster Grand Prix double in the Superbike and Superstock classes to cap an impressive season, during which he won multiple races at the Irish National meetings.
Guy Martin is still chasing that elusive TT success and has never quite reached the heights many thought he would when the eccentric Lincolnshire ace burst onto the road racing scene.
A fourth place finish on the Tyco Suzuki at the TT in the Superbike race was his best result on the Mountain Course in 2012 although Martin did triumph in the feature race at the Ulster Grand Prix.
Age is no barrier to evergreen Kiwi Bruce Anstey, who continues to win at the TT.
Anstey was back on the top step again with a narrow victory in the opening Supersport race on Clive Padgett's Honda over Cameron Donald and remains an ever-present threat.
Aussie Donald shone on Northern Irishman Wilson Craig's Hondas last year, taking a hat-trick of podiums at the TT. He gave McGuinness food for thought in the early stages of the Superbike TT, leading briefly before being forced to settle for a comfortable runner-up finish.
Donald also finished as the runner-up in both Supersport events and returns this year on Craig's Honda machines as a major player in all classes.
Ryan Farquhar has called time on his racing career after his uncle was killed at the Manx Grand Prix in August, but not before he won the inaugural Supertwin races at the NW200 and TT - a class that the Northern Irishman has championed.
Farquhar completed a Supertwin treble at the internationals with victory at the Ulster Grand Prix, but also reminded fans why he is one of the best riders of his generation as he secured two podium finishes at the TT in the Superstock and second Supersport races on his KMR Kawasaki machines.
The Dungannon rider was also a prolific winner at the National meetings in Ireland, when he clashed regularly with young gun Michael Dunlop.
William Dunlop saw his stock rise as he defeated circuit specialist Alastair Seeley to win the opening Supersport event at the North West 200 on Wilson Craig's Honda. Dunlop then had to settle for the runner-up spot in race two, but was fuming at the manner of his defeat at the hands of Seeley following a final lap pass at Church Corner.
He carried his momentum to the TT where he topped the Supersport charts all week in practice but by his own admission "bottled it" in the first race, finishing third behind Anstey and teammate Donald to claim his maiden rostrum finish on the Mountain Course.
The 27-year-old broke down while leading race two on the first lap but returns this year desperate to claim his debut victory after joining Shaun Muir's Milwaukee Yamaha outfit alongside Conor Cummins. Dunlop was also a winner at the Ulster Grand Prix in the Supersport class.
Gary Johnson joined Clive Padgett's Honda outfit last year, finishing fifth in the Superbike TT and taking a runner-up finish in the main superbike race at the Ulster Grand Prix.
A Supersport TT winner in 2011 - his debut success on the Mountain Course - Johnson was in the hunt for more glory on his 600cc Honda in June until bad luck curtailed his hopes.
Rumoured to be running his own team this season, Johnson will be out to make amends.
