I have nothing but the utmost respect for people who participate in "real" road races like the Isle of Man.
I think it's refreshing to see a venue where people can freely use their own judgment when it comes to deciding whether or not to participate in a dangerous activity.
The whole world is rapidly becoming a nanny state where we are presumed to be child-like idiots who are incapable of thinking for ourselves.
If your going to ban the I.O.M. then you should ban BASE jumping and other extreme sports. Using that logic you can also ban people driving on the old 'Ring because a few people get killed every year.
I hope the I.O.M. continues for many years to come.
