Mickey D is the most exciting new prospect to appear on the roads for many years. Early in his career he was very fast and I feared that he was too fast, too soon. I was expecting a big accident. But it didn't happen and now he has leaped deservedly into the top echelon of road racers.
Tux needs to teach him how to be a pro, to stop trying to do everything himself, to concentrate on riding and let technicians and tacticians get on with those tasks.
As for his weight, a few extra kgs have been no problem for J McPint, and weren't for DJ, so maybe they are an advantage for a road racer on the longer circuits and in the endurance arena.
And let's not forget brother William- he's just waiting for a factory supported ride for his breakthrough.
