As the 2010 Rotax Euro Challenge drew to a close at the 1350-metre Paul Lemmens owned Genk circuit in Belgium Dutchman Joel Affolter and British driver Jack Aitken emerged victorious over a quality Junior Max field.

Strawberry Racing driver Affolter struck first in the 11-lap pre final, passing polesitter Dave Blom and outside front row starter Aitken to take the victory, a mere four tenths of a second ahead of his countryman Blom with Aitken, fellow Briton Nathan Harrison and Japan's Ukyo Sasahara completing the top five.

In the main 14-lap final Affolter and third place starter Aitken got away with Aitken grabbing the narrowest of wins in a five wide blanket finish over Harrison, Estonian Tristan Viidas and Dutch duo Jordi van Moorsel and Affolter. The top five were separated by three tenths of a second at the line with Aitken's winning margin recorded at less than six hundredths.
