TT 2013: PTR boss Buckmaster raises glass to Dunlop

4 June 2013

PTR World Supersport team boss Simon Buckmaster hailed the heroics of Michael Dunlop following his domination of yesterday's Supersport and Superstock races.

Dunlop is the name on everyone's lips at this year's Isle of Man TT races after taking three wins from three starts and claiming his first premier class TT win in Sunday's Superbike race on the Honda TT Legends machine.

The 24-year-old's Supersport victory yesterday was the first for the Louth-based PTR outfit and Buckmaster feels Dunlop will take some stopping this week as he bids to emulate Ian Hutchinson's 2010 record of five wins in a week.

“Well done to Gary Ryan and all of Michael's boys as well as the staff of PTR in helping to win this race, we are delighted to score our first TT victory, not long after our first North West 200 victory,” he said.

“Michael is riding on top of his game and he has the right tools for the job; he's going to be difficult to beat this week at the TT.”

Dunlop's hat-trick his now raised his total of Island wins to six and he still has three races to come including tomorrow's second Supersport event plus the Lightweight and Senior races on Friday.
