Honda TT Legends has been forced to withdraw from the Le Mans 24 Hours after its rider Simon Andrews suffered multiple injuries in a four-bike accident.

The former British Superbike Championship front runner was in the midst of his stint during the sixth hour of the race when he got involved in an accident whilst running in third position.

Though conscious and coherent following the accident, Andrews was taken to hospital where he has since been diagnosed with two broken legs, a broken forearm and shoulder, broken ribs causing a punctured lung and three broken vertebrae in his lower back.

Andrews is currently in surgery for an operation to his leg and further updates will be provided as and when they are available.
