Michael Dunlop won four races in a week at the Isle of Man TT this year, but John McGuinness struck when it mattered to take victory in the blue riband Senior event.

McGuinness also set a new outright lap record at the TT of 131.671mph on the Honda TT Legends Fireblade to underline his credentials as the master of the big bikes on the Mountain course.

Dunlop, though, had the upper hand in the Superbike race and lapped at an incredible 131.220mph on his way to victory in the Superstock TT. The Ulsterman also won both Supersport races and was only just denied a five-timer by McGuinness, finishing as the runner-up in the Senior race.

Guy Martin, meanwhile, is still waiting on his first Isle of Man victory, but the Tyco Suzuki rider ended the second part of the season in style with a Solo Championship win at the Southern 100 plus a treble at the Ulster Grand Prix.
