Litchfield confirmed as British Champ

6 September 2010

Mark Litchfield has been confirmed as the British Karting Champion following the cancellation of Super One's Super KF class and he celebrated his championship by winning the second KF2 final in the latest S1 round at Whilton Mill.

With KF2 being adopted as the premier class in British Karting in 2011 Litchfield and several of the other remaining SKF competitors joined the regular S1 KF2 runners at Whilton Mill for a precursor of what the series organisers hope will be a much more competitive new season next year.

Nine Super KF runners joined the nine remaining KF2 runners at Whilton Mill with the SKF drivers coming out on top in both finals. James Godbehere won the opening final from Jonathan Walker, Jordan Chamberlain, Tom Grice and Litchfield with Oscar King the top KF2 regular in sixth.

Litchfield emerged on top in final two from Chamberlain and Walker with Jacob Nortoft the best placed non SKF regular in fourth.

With Super KF no more, the final championship table sees Litchfield clinch another British title by more than 30 points from Walker with Elliott Burton, Godbehere and Dennis Gorman completing the top five.
