how sad. I turned on le mans, late, but there was no talk about the crash, not even when commentators were summing up progress so far. so it came as a shock .

Same here. I was shocked to hear of his death as they simply didn't mention it on the summary I saw here in North America.
My sincere condolences go out to all his family, friends and his team.

very sad news another talented driver/ rider doing what they love providing entertainment for us fans paying the ultimate price.

Richard - Even if you'd seen the crash, you'd probably still have been shocked to hear. What was seen didn't appear spectacular compared to many crashes, and there was word that he was conscious and talking to the medics, so when the news did come it was pretty shocking.

Very sad.
