Sebastien Loeb Racing has announced it will make the move from McLaren to Audi for the 2014 season.

Having finished second in the FIA GT Series, and in the domestic French series, the team will run Audi's R8 LMS Ultra during the year ahead having elected to end its relationship with McLaren.

A 'multiple programme' is set to be announced by the French team in the coming weeks.

"The choice to enter the Audi R8 LMS ultra is the result of a lot of thought," team manager Dominique Heintz said. "We first want to thank McLaren for the close collaboration that allowed us to take many victories in 2013.

"The discussions we had with Audi Sport were very positive and we were convinced by the Audi R8 LMS ultra.

"Audi Sport offers a recognised customer service and this constructor is closer to our workshops - which is something that can make life easier for the team every day. We are now looking forward to starting this new challenge alongside Audi Sport."

The team will also compete in the Porsche Carrera Cup France this season and could also launch a new LMP2 programme.
