Millennium Racing have announced it has withdrawn from the 2014 World Endurance Championship opener, leaving just four teams in the LMP2 class for the Silverstone opener.

With Strakka Racing already out due to teething issues with its new car, Millennium Racing has followed suit, citing a delay in the release of funds from principle backer OMD.

Though the team insists funds are forthcoming, it won't come in time for the 2014 opener at Silverstone this weekend, forcing the outfit - winner of four LMP2 rounds last season - to delay its start to the season.
