USCC: OAK in the title hunt with Mosport win

OAK Racing move into title contention for the United SportsCar Championship after claiming a dominant win at Mosport in Canada.
OAK Racing has moved back into the hunt for the inaugural TUDOR United Sportscar Championship after a dominant race win at Mosport.

Driving the Nissan-powered Morgan LMP2, drivers Gustavo Yacaman and Olivier Pla were the dominant force around the Canadian circuit, qualifying on pole position and leading from the front throughout.

The first win for the French outfit since the amalgamated USCC series began at the start of 2014, team principal Philippe Dumas was delighted with the result.

“It is a great victory for OAK Racing,” he said. “I am so happy for Gustavo (Yacaman) and Olivier (Pla). It was not easy, but it was a perfect weekend. It is not a small victory to land on the podium, but rather a great, great victory for the whole team. We will keep fighting for the championship during the remainder of the season.”
