Mark Webber has been diagnosed with concussion and bruising after his high-speed crash in the 6 Hours of Sao Paulo on Sunday.

The #20 Porsche hit the wall at high speed following contact with the GT Ferrari of Matteo Cressoni while accelerating towards the finish line at Interlagos, heavily damaging the car. Having been kept in hospital overnight in "a satisfactory condition", Webber has been diagnosed with concussion and said he doesn't remember how the incident occurred.

"I'm quite sore this morning and am pretty bruised and have got a stinking headache," Webber told his official website. "I've got no recollection of the accident or how it happened - the team is looking into the details to find out more.

On a positive note it's great that the boys in car no. 14 managed to bring home the victory which is a fantastic way to finish off the season. I'm already looking forward to getting out there again next year."

Webber will remain in hospital for further checks before returning to the UK later this week.
