Former F1 driver Rubens Barrichello will form part of Starworks' impressive driver line-up for the 2015 Rolex 24 at Daytona endurance event.

The Brazilian has competed in the American classic before at the wheel of a GT Porsche, but this deal with Starworks will see him compete in the prototype class at the wheel of a Dinan BMW Riley alongside former IndyCar Series champion Ryan Hunter-Reay, Porsche WEC driver Brendon Hartley, Tor Graves and Scott Mayer.

Barrichello is just one of several notable names competing in this year's United Sports Car Championship opener, with guest drivers in the 16-strong prototype car class including Sebastien Bourdais, Olivier Pla, Alex Brundle, Mike Rockenfeller and Charlie Kimball.

Following the amalgamation of the Grand-Am and American Le Mans Series in 2014 to create the USCC, this year's Rolex 24 at Daytona line-up reflects a greater mix of DP and LMP2 chassis entrants.

In all, there will be six LMP2 entries in this event, with two diesel SpeedSource Mazdas, two Ligier JS P2s campaigned by Krohn Racing and Michael Shank Racing and two new Honda-engined HPD ARX-04b entered by Tequila Patron ESM.

ESM will then begin its preparations for its first full season in the FIA World Endurance Championship.
