Former F1 driver Rubens Barrichello ended the 'Roar Before 24' test on top of the timesheets after choosing to stay out on track during a damp afternoon session.

The Brazilian, who will drive the Starworks Dinan-Riley alongside Brendon Hartley, Tor Graves, Scott Mayer and Ryan Hunter-Reay, opted to stay out on track when the weather turned sour, notching up the mileage and setting the fastest time of the final session at 1min 47.230secs.

Earlier in the day it was the Action Express Corvette of Sebastien Bourdais that set the fastest time in the dry, the Frenchman - who will drive with Joao Barbosa and Christian Fittipaldi - preparing well for what it hopes will be a defence of its Rolex 24 at Daytona title.
