Onroak Automotive has announced its plans to design a Ligier JS P3 for the newly-formed LMP3 class for 2015.

The French prototype will continue the Ligier JS P2 lineage, which currently races in the LMP2 class, and is expected to have strong similarities in its design and aerodynamics package. The LMP3 class will debut in 2015 for the European and Asian Le Mans Series.

"This Ligier JS P3 confirms our ambitions to design and sell a complete range of sports prototypes for endurance," said Onroak Automotive President Jacques Nicolet. "Backed by our know-how, our experience, and the time we've given ourselves for its design and development we're convinced that this new car will be a success.

The prototype is planned to be used in the Asian and European Le Mans series but will not compete at the Le Mans 24-hour race in 2015.
