Nissan has announced Tsugio Matsuda, Harry Tincknell and Olivier Pla as three of its drivers for the upcoming World Endurance Championship.

Matsuda, Tincknell and Pla join Nissan's squad of nine drivers and will race in the pair of Nissan LM P1 cars in WEC, with a third car joining for the prestigious Le Mans 24 hours race. The race numbers for the three cars will be numbers 22 and 23 for WEC and number 21 for the additional Le Mans 24 hour car.

The configuration of the driver line-ups in the Nissan GT-R LM NISMOs will be revealed after all of the drivers have been announced in Paris later today.

Japanese driver Tsugio Matsuda is the reigning Super GT GT500 Champion. While Matsuda has ascended the racing ranks with Nissan, Tincknell and Pla have climbed the sports car ladder via LM P2 to arrive in LM P1 with Nissan.

British driver Tincknell took victory in the LMP2 class last season in his first attempt at the Le Mans 24 Hour race, and finished as runner-up in the European Le Mans Series. 2015 will mark his first full season with Nissan for the WEC.

Frenchman Pla has consistently performed impressively in the LMP2 class and will make his debut in the LMP1 class for the 2015 season.

The trio join former Le Mans 24 Hour winner Marc Gene at Nissan, who had previously been confirmed.
