KCMG drivers Richard Bradley and Matt Howson were both left thorough impressed after completing a shakedown with the ORECA 05 after a three-day pre-season test at Circuit Paul Ricard.

As part of the team's preparations for the upcoming FIA World Endurance Championship in the LMP2 category, the KCMG crew spent the test assessing the tyres and ran different set-ups. The team were joined by Irish driver Gary Thompson who used the Nissan-powered ORECA 03R to contribute additional data to be used for the forthcoming season.

Bradley said ORECA were on hand during the test and were helpful in supporting the WEC team with the new package.

"We had a very successful shakedown of the new ORECA 05, completing a lot of laps and getting good data over the course of two days," Bradley said. "The car was very comfortable and showed good potential. ORECA have been very supportive in helping us with the car and I'm confident that the package will bring the team strong results this season."

Matt Howson added: "The shakedown of the new ORECA 05 went perfectly with over 1000km of running and no real problems. We were able to evaluate tyres and set up on some complete long runs. A big thank you to Oreca and Stephane Sarrazin for their assistance - it has already proved invaluable. We look forward to The Prologue and to continue improving what is already an extremely fast car."

The team will assess the data collected in preparation for The Prologue before heading to the WEC season-opener at Silverstone on the 12th April.
