Strakka Racing has taken delivery of and shaken down its new Gibson 015S prototype as it prepares to see out the 2015 World Endurance Championship season with the LMP2 chassis.

The British team has opted to turn its attentions to the proven Gibson package (formerly known as Zytek) in response to the announcement that the LMP2 will restrict the number of manufacturers to four from 2017.

The move means its current S103 DOME machine, which has only competed in three races so far, will be put on hiatus whilst it is developed into a fully-fledged LMP1 entry instead, with the Gibson 015S becoming its LMP2 entrant for the remainder of 2015.
