Manor has added another of its ex-F1 drivers to its World Endurance Championship driver line-up, with Roberto Merhi pairing up once again with Will Stevens as part of the team's six driver roster.
The new sportscar outfit, formed by John Booth and Graeme Lowdon in the wake of their departure from the F1 team of the same name, has dipped into Manor's long history of single-seater competition for its drivers so far, including Stevens, as well as F3 alumnus James Jakes and Tor Graves.
The sixth driver to be confirmed to the Manor WEC line-up, following Mat Rao and Richard Bradley, the former F3 Euroseries champion is looking forward to forging a new chapter in sportscars following stints in F1, DTM and FR3.5.
“I'm really excited to be part of this new exciting chapter with Manor. It is a great opportunity to work with Graeme, John and the team again.
“This is my first time at endurance racing, LMP2 is a very strong championship and I am looking forward to getting into the ORECA 05 LMP2 and seeing what we can all achieve together.”
Manor will compete in the LMP2 class with a Nissan-engined Oreca 05 and gave the machine its first test at the Paul Ricard Prologue last week.
